Hareshaw Common and the Pennine Way

Join us for a guided walk from Bellingham which touches the Pennine Way, and provides some superb views on this less walked area north of the village.

This circular walk takes in some of the rugged North Tyne scenery. From Hareshaw Linn our route takes us north on the Pennine Way to Hareshaw House we take the footpath southwest then south towards The Shanks and Hainingrigg before turning west at the golf club then onto the road back to Bellingham. An interesting walk with some wonderful views.

Bellingham is 17 miles north of Hexham on the B6320. Take the Otterburn/Redesmouth road from the main street and turn left immediately after crossing stream (70 metres).

For those wishing to use GPS/Sat-Nav to find walk start points please note that, particularly in open-country, postcodes cover a large area, so, whilst the postcode will get you to the right general area, you will still need to follow the detailed directions to locate the actual Walk Start Point.
