Hillfort Trail Guided Walk

Join us this June for an archaeological journey in Hillfort territory. Our route follows the Hillfort Trail south to Wether Hill, before visiting the unusual "Valley" fort at Middle Dean. A lovely airy walk then takes us to the summit of Brough Law with it’s substantial and strategic hillfort.

Dogs are not permitted on this guided walk. Numbers are limited so it is essential to book.

Ingram Bridge – National Park Car Park

From Wooler take the A697 south, just before Powburn take the right signed ‘Ingram’. Continue on this road for approx 3 miles, cross the bridge over the River Breamish and the car park is on the left.

For those wishing to use GPS/Sat-Nav to find walk start points please note that, particularly in open-country, postcodes cover a large area, so, whilst the postcode will get you to the right general area, you will still need to follow the detailed directions to locate the actual Walk Start Point.

During the pandemic, it may be necessary to alter or cancel an event due to changing government guidelines and restrictions. We ask that you provide the most up to date email address at time of booking, and ensure it is entered correctly, as this will be the main method of correspondence.
