Join us at The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre for a night under our incredible dark skies.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and is also the smallest of the eight planets in our solar system. Named after the Roman God, it is fast – orbiting the sun in 88 days! Our expert astronomer will share more about this mysterious planet.

Weather permitting, you’ll be able to use our telescopes and binoculars to view the night sky. This event is suitable for families and stargazing beginners, aged 11yrs and older. It can be really cold when out at night, so please wear warm clothes. Warm refreshments will be provided throughout the evening.

There is a special pre-event dinner offer available to those booked for this event. Between 6pm-8pm why not treat yourself to a delicious two-course meal at our Sill Cafe for just £15.00 per person. Take a look at an example menu here. Please pre-book your table by contacting
