Simonburn Common and Brocolitia Guided Walk

Following extensive damage caused by Storm Arwen we have taken the decision to cancel all guided walks in January and February.

Please stay away from woodland areas at this time and follow Northumberland National Park Authority on social media for updates. If visitors or the local community would like to report an issue on a right of way within the National Park, please contact stormarwen@nnpa.org.uk.

Let's leave the Brocolita Temple till the end of the walk , and set off east and north across pasture and moor to the ancient village of Simonburn and its Church, once the centre of the largest Parish in England.

Off again through the woods up onto the moors again and far reaching views , then across the Common back to examine the remains at Brocolita.

For those wishing to use GPS/Sat-Nav to find walk start points please note that, particularly in open-country, postcodes cover a large area, so, whilst the postcode will get you to the right general area, you will still need to follow the detailed directions to locate the actual Walk Start Point.
