On leaving the interesting village of Simonburn we head east along Hadrian's Wall before visiting the attractive village of Humshaugh.

Our route then takes us above the North Tyne valley passing Haughton Castle with its fascinating history and now one of the best-preserved hall houses in the north of England.

We then pass the early 19C Nunwick Mill before returning to Simonburn for a well-earned cup of tea at the village tea rooms.
