About our committee
The Development Management Committee is responsible for all of the Northumberland National Park Authority’s functions relating to planning and development control. It makes decisions on planning applications, including those which relate to listed buildings or buildings in conservation areas, and can authorise enforcement action where development has taken place without planning permission.
Please note that meetings and start times will be confirmed nearer the time. Meetings will normally take place at National Park offices unless otherwise indicated.
Development Management Committee members
At the Authority’s Annual Meeting on 21 July 2021 the following nine members were elected to the Development Management Committee: Ms Marie Fallon, Mr Chris Mullin, Cllr John Riddle, Cllr Alan Sharp, Cllr Cath Homer, Cllr Sue Bolam, Cllr Val Gibson, Cllr Julian Morrison-Bell and one vacancy to be confirmed at the Authority meeting on 15 September 2021.
Julian Morrison-Bell was elected DMC Chair and Cllr Sue Bolam elected DMC Deputy Chair.
Development Management Committee meetings are open to members of the public. The agenda and reports will be made available during the week prior to the meeting. Papers from previous meetings are also available.
