College Valley & Yetholm

A leisure ride starting from Wooler via Akeld and Kirknewton right up the College Valley to Mounthooly bunkhouse at the end of the road. It then re-traces the route down the College Valley and goes over the Scottish Border to Kirk Yetholm and Town Yetholm. The ride is all on road and goes right into the heart of the Cheviot Hills along the most beautiful valley in the National Park. At Mounthooly, the summit of Cheviot is only 2 miles away. There are some strenuous climbs in places, particularly on the last section of the ride up to Mounthooly.
