Biddlestone Roadside

The walks starts half a mile west of Biddlestone Home farm at a bend in the road and the start of the bridleway to Clennell (NT 947 079). We walk to Clennell and then climb over Clennell Hill to Old Rookland. Following paths through the remote countryside we head through Singmoor and back to Biddlestone where the chapel can be visited.

Dress for changeable weather and wear suitable footwear. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drink for the break.
Dogs are not permitted at this event.

From Rothbury take the B6341 west to Thropton. At the ‘Cross Keys’ take the road on the right for Netherton. At the junction beyond the school, turn left for Netherton. Follow the main road through Netherton and bear left up the hill (signed Alwinton).  Take the second turning on the right (after 2.5 miles) signed Biddlestone. Continue until the road takes a sharp right turn, parking is on the grass verge after the right turn.
