Billsmoor Foot NP Car Park

Starting at the car park at Billsmoorfoot, we follow the road towards Raw Farm. We then head north to look at the remains of ‘Craig Bastle’, now incorporated into a farm house. We follow the track to the mysterious ‘Pedlar’s stone’ before heading west a short distance across the moor to visit the Romano British shrine to the Celtic god Cocidius. Re-tracing our steps we head south, and  visit the ‘Raw’ bastle and hear about the murder of Margaret Crozier.

Dress for changeable weather and wear suitable footwear. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drink for the break.
