Walltown Country Park

Nature journalling is more than just creating a notebook of observations. It is a way to connect with what is happening around you. No artistic or literary skills are needed, just a peaceful spot, your senses and a willingness to put on paper everything that you experience whether the minutiae of an ant nest in the warmth of the summer sun or the vast Northumberland skies.

In this event participants will be encouraged to write, sketch, stick things in, and create a record of the day through a journal entry. The course lead will offer an introduction to the day before leading a short walk to show you the hidden wonders around Walltown Country Park.

Included in the price are all the materials you require to create and continue your own nature journal after the session.

Wear comfortable walking trainers or boots, bring a waterproof and something light and portable to sit on.
Bring your own snacks but drinks will be available throughout the session.

Feedback from last years event:
I enjoyed the whole afternoon. It was well presented and the course materials were very appropriate. We were very well looked after both in encouragement and help. The refreshments were very nice and being able to take the course materials home was very generous. It was good for your well-being as it was not a rushed event – there was plenty of time to do the activities and I have been inspired by the course to continue with this nature journalling.
