Once on The Wall the views both North and South are spectacular. The walk along the top of The Wall is rugged but worth the effort. We pass Milecastle 39, known locally as Castle Nick, and look down on Crag Lough. Our return path can be seen in the distance. Once on the low level path to the North, we look back on the cliffs that give the Lough its name, some say the view from this path is better than the one from The Wall.
