Learn about the stories & myths connected with the ‘Drake Stone’ and the castle that dominates the area.

Hear about the stories & myths connected with the ‘Drake Stone’ & the castle that dominates the area. The walk leaves the Forestry car park & heads south west through the wood to the ‘Drake Stone’ & on to Harbottle Lake & north & east to the road towards Alwinton. Before the church we turn right off this road towards the Lime Kiln & Park House. There are wonderful views from here of the Drake Stone & Harbottle Castle. We then take the footbridge & continue through Harbottle Village with the castle on our right back to the car park.
